§ 2.14.010. Office of the city attorney; appointment by city council; duties; deputies.

A.

There is established the office of the city attorney.

B.

The city attorney and assistant city attorney will be appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the city council.

C.

The duties and services to be provided by the city attorney include all of the duties and services set forth in Government Code sections 41801 to 41805, as well as such other duties and services of a city attorney specified or permitted under state law.

D.

The city attorney may appoint any deputy city attorneys necessary to assist with the duties of the office.
