§ 13.04.100. Procedures for determination and notification of water shortage response level.

A.

The existence of water shortage response level 1, level 2, level 3 or level 4 condition may be declared by resolution of the city council adopted at a regular or special public meeting held in accordance with state law and with consultation from the city's water retailer and wholesaler. The mandatory conservation measures applicable to water shortage response level 1, level 2, level 3 or level 4 conditions will take effect on the tenth day after the date the response level is declared. The city will publish a copy of the resolution in a newspaper used for publication of official notices.

B.

The city may declare an end to a water shortage response level by the adoption of a city council resolution at any regular or special meeting held in accordance with state law.
